A special Let’s Read story time, designed for children who were impacted by the flooding in September, will be held this Sunday, December 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Let’s Read area at Oakdale Mall (near Visions Federal Credit Union) in Johnson City, N.Y.
The children will have an opportunity to hear stories in which characters were impacted by flooding and/or trauma and about their resiliency during that difficult time.
Counselors will be on hand if parents or children want to talk about their feelings concerning the recent floods and how it may be impacting their lives.
The readings will be held every half-hour and coloring activities will also be available.
