A BIG weekend for the Bark Park!

This weekend is an exciting one for the Bark Park, with a fundraiser on Saturday and volunteer opportunities on Sunday!

On Saturday, local Boy Scout Ian Watson has arranged a benefit car wash at Auto Zone on Main Street in Binghamton from 10am-2pm. Proceeds from the carwash will benefit the Bark Park, and will help Ian earn his Eagle Scout status! Come out for a wash and support a great community project!

On Sunday, the Bark Park is looking for volunteers to come out and help with landscaping and improvement projects. Some specific projects that will be in the works:

* Dig 3 holes for hydrants that are 11” deep and 6” wide
* Move soil and shape beds for landscaping
* Weed whack bamboo and pull weeds all around.  If time, we will also work on the Riverwalk.

If you, or someone you know would be interested in getting your hands dirty and having a little fun, please join us at the park anytime after 11am on Sunday. The Bark Park is adjacent to Cheri Lindsey Park in Binghamton – CLICK HERE for directions. Everyone is also encouraged to bring any tools that might be helpful. We hope to see you there!
